CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU
At JAKFS, we work as mentors to pass the knowledge we gained to give the youth the edge we didn’t have.
As the founders of JAKFS, Sicklerville-born and raised, we have faced many struggles during our youth. Years later, as successful community leaders, we seek to give the youth the tools we didn’t have to overcome the natural struggles young people will face closer to adulthood.
Through monthly workshops, community events, and mentorships, we will accomplish this goal.

In the 6th grade, Tyler went through one of the biggest challenges of his life - his parents' divorce - which caused him to rebel. His family, teachers, and closest friends saw him slowly fade from being the kid everyone loved. However, basketball kept Tyler motivated, but when his grades and behavior worsened, basketball was taken from him. When he reached the 8th grade, his math teacher, Mr. Frank Lotierzo, wanted to help Tyler, eventually becoming his lifelong mentor and helping him get on the right path. Mr. Lotlerzo is the reason mentoring the youth became important to Tyler, as Tyler recognizes the profound value in leadership. Tyler has worked with over 20 schools, ranging from elementary to college level. He believes it is important for mentors to pass the knowledge he gained throughout his life and give students the edge and support he once needed.
